Honk Jr. at Lake Center Christian School

Why should being different feel so bad?

The talented cast at Lake Center Christian School’s Junior High will present Honk! Jr., based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling on Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13 at 7 p.m., as well as a special matinee performance on Monday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at the school’s Kaufman Center.

Ugly is odd, gawky, ridiculed for his looks and is separated from his loving mother by a sly cat. While his mother searches for him, he embarks on a journey to find his way back through the countryside, and not only discovers his true beauty but also love and acceptance. The performance teaches the celebration of the beauty of being different.

LCCS is pleased to present Honk! Jr. as not only a musical filled with bright tunes, charm and humor, but as a story that shares the important message of tolerance and acceptance. Tickets are $5-7 and can be purchased at LCCS.

For tickets or more information, call LCCS at 330-877-2049. The Kaufman Center is located on the school property at 12895 Kaufman Avenue in Hartville.
