Charlotte Schlabach, Proprietor, Quail’s Covey Bed & Breakfast

Charlotte’s husband John built the family’s house 31 years ago in a location surrounded by nature. Quail’s Covey Bed and Breakfast emerged in 2007 from their desire to share their peace, quiet, and little bit of Heaven.

Q: Do you have a favorite corner in this beautiful home?

The sunroom on the main floor has a lovely view of the woods. It’s a peaceful spot to talk, read, and watch wildlife in their natural setting. There are three bedrooms, each with private balconies perfect for coffee sipping. Charlotte’s favorite is the Dogwood Suite. There is also a small lake that is home to a swan and perfect for those who like to fish for trout. With trail access to Quail Hollow Park, winter walks are just steps away. When conditions are right the park is open for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Q: Do you have a specific type of guest that feels most at home in your haven?

While Quail’s Covey serves individual guests looking for a quiet retreat, they most often host couples. Stays usually range from 3 to 7 nights to give them a chance to truly unwind and soak in the tranquility.
