Historic Downtown Hartville
is located at the intersection of E. Maple St. and S. Prospect Ave (State Routes 619 & 43) on the east side of town. With roots as a crossroads for travelers the area has long been a place where people gather. Downtown Date Night
Friday, September 15th 6-10pm

Over 100 couples spent a cozy evening in Historic Downtown Hartville enjoying shopping, live music, special dinners, and an outdoor movie. Downtown Date Night is hosted by the Historic Downtown Hartville volunteer group of shopkeepers, local government, non-profits, and residents and sponsored by Spitzer Ford Hartville and Lake Community Federal Credit Union.


DIY in the ‘Ville
August 26th 11am-3pm

Spend the day in Historic Downtown Hartville with your favorite shops as they share some of their skills by offering make & takes, demos, short classes, and activities geared towards adults and teens. Many thanks to participating shops for putting together cool DIYs and to Modern Vintage for coordinating a fun day downtown!


4th Annual Get Out & Play
July 15th 10am-2pm

Historic Downtown Hartville turned into a giant playspace! Congratulations to Youth Music Showcase winners Caroline Pastore, Lauren Meadows, and Tessa Smith-Kintz!

Cruise in the ‘Ville
June 4th 11am-3:30pm

Thirty nine cars come to historic Hartville for a Sunday cruise-in to celebrate the GRAND OPENING of HWC Automotive. Lunch was served by O’Reilly Auto Parts and Hartville Lions Club’s FAMOUS Chicken BBQ. Visitors enjoyed downtown shopping, music by An Affordable DJ, and meeting former Cleveland Browns Linebacker Ed Bettridge. See the winners here!

It’s Puzzling

Puzzles Solved in Downtown Hartville
Nearly 100 players participated in the first outdoor puzzle hunt in Historic Downtown Hartville this spring. During “It’s Puzzling” teams solved challenges including an egg hunt, code breaking, I Spy, and a “Clue” game. The top time overall goes to Team Aged & Confused who finished in 36 minutes followed by Team ‘Cmon (39 minutes) and Team In It to Win It (49 minutes). 100% of proceeds will be used for events and improvement projects in the historic district.

The hunt continues! Private groups of 30 or more may schedule a time to play this year’s puzzle hunt by emailing historicdowntownhartville@gmail.com.
