State Route 619 Road Widening Information

CURRENT UPDATES

UPDATE – 9/20/20

Weather dependent, the project anticipates to begin the remaining asphalt roadway work on Wednesday, September 23rd.

This work consists of various areas of milling the existing pavement, and placing the final surface course of asphalt. This will occur within the entire project limits – SR-619 from Hoover Ave. to east of Milan Ave., and portions of the side streets in between. We expect the majority of this work to take two weeks to complete.

Most of the project included widening to the roadway, so the contractor is able to work within a lane and not impact traffic in the adjacent lane. There will be areas (SR-619 west of Kaufman Ave., side streets, intersections, etc.) where a flagger will be required, and delays should be expected.

Following the paving, the project will install the final pavement markings, remaining signage, and raised pavement markers. Excluding small maintenance and punch list items, this will complete the project work.

We expect the project to be complete late summer/early fall of 2020.

SR619 will remain open during construction. Alternative routes include Sunnyside St. and Lake Center St.

Please watch for construction workers and reduce your speed. Thank you!

GENERAL PROJECT INFORMATION

Eastbound and Westbound lanes will remain open and no road closures will occur on SR 619 in the project area.  To make your route more efficient during construction, we are happy to provide alternate routes for peak times.

The project will begin in May of 2017 in Lake Township and is scheduled to be completed by Summer of 2020. The area of State Route 619 scheduled to be widened runs from Milan Avenue in the Village of Hartville to Kaufman Avenue NW, just west of the Hartville MarketPlace in Lake Township, and will include roundabouts at King Church Avenue NW (at the main entrance to the popular Hartville MarketPlace) and Kaufman Avenue NW.
